The weekend with lots of renovations

 Hi,

What a mega weekend of renovations and social catch ups. Friday - what did I do on Friday?  Oh - Mike had a migraine! He woke up and blam! Took meds and went back to bed. Shame because he was due to go out to a site for the new project launch week. This one was a bad one too. Hot on the heels of his last one.

Friday saw me meet Alastair at Revive in Petone. Good to see him. The new job is taking a bit of adjustment with the new stack of tools. But he is in fine form. I ran back to the car to get a run in. And when I got home, Mike was still woozy. So I cleaned the car on Juliette's front lawn. It was all go with electricians. Wellington Electricity. The power company for the connection to her house. And there I was in the middle of it.

Saturday Mike got up for park run. Did a PB at Lower Hutt. So shook off the migraine pretty well. And by the time he got back, Lewis was here to fit the new laundry doors. They look very stunning.

Second one up

We had some lunch courtesy of Mike and Janine (post park run bakery visit). And we had some leftovers. Which was good. Because Lesley and Wally came over to drop off the tramping gear. I heard all about Lesley's tramp to Queen Charlotte (turns out Gemma's son Tom was on the tramp!). It all seemed to go very well. Yippee.

Wally also got a wee look at the new car. And Ange turned up to chat too. So for a bit, it was quite social. Lesley and Wally headed home (Lesley was still very tired - they only got back on Friday) and we chatted to Ange for a while. Great to hear her plans.

Then tea for us. In the air fryer. Hahah. Quite nice.

Off to bed. Up for Sunday brekkie in bed for Mike. French toast made with the delicious rēwena bread Wally is now making. Mmmmmm.

I got a run in. Down into Otari Wilton bush. Garmin went mad with GPS jitter so I have no idea how I went really. But it felt ok.

Mike picked me up from the bottom of our street and we went to Resene and got stain for the new doors. What a lot of work to get them stained.  We started at 1pm and did not finish until 5pm.

Yum! It's the season

Doors all finished

I made sourdough in-between taking turns at staining the doors. Wow - they do look good now. We have to polyurethane them. So that's going to be a few nights this week.

Mike also has the stuff to fix the rear passenger door of the Forester. Get it ready to sell. And our YouTube content has now got a bit of spray painting in its algorithm as an interest of ours.

Enjoy your week. Mid March already. St Paddy's day today too.

Take care!
Love,
Angela
