The Wednesday that felt like Thursday

 Hi,

Got through the mahi. Did enjoy an iced latte at French Kiss cart with Shane and Emma because the work coffee machine is broken. Chaos.

Iced latte with Shane and Emma

Got out to lunch with the team and that was great fun. Willis Lane - and I went to Romeos and had a haloumi burger. Was very tasty.

Rode home after work and bet Mike. He left at the same time as me and only waited 1 minute at the bus stop. And he saw me in the garage when he was at the traffic lights stop/go on the main road up to Wadestown. Decent time win there for me.

I have a strawberry. It is green.

Sourdough

We had tea (more roast veges and Buddha bowl) and I baked sourdough. Then Tom dropped off my pannier rack that Elly had borrowed for their Heaphy trip over Labour weekend. And stayed for a cuppa. So I gave him the bread to take home. We saw pics from his total kitchen remodel. Almost done I reckon. Few more weeks.

Then off to bed. Up for a ride in. The roads were wet. Gym soon.

Have a great day. We're off to New Plymouth for Mike's race weekend. Coastal 5. Woot!

Love,
Angela

The Tuesday with our house getting washed

 Hi,

Mike and I both worked from home to make sure the house washing business could access the house and let us know of any issues. I think Mike had so many back to back meetings that he hardly saw Kahu. Only when he was washing the windows right outside our office.

The day started a bit windy and grey - but it certainly came right. Ended up as a gorgeous afternoon. Kahu arrived late morning and must have spent hours on the house. He washed the entire outside - including the deck window panes. Toby and I did them in covid times and whatever Kahu did made our attempt look feeble.

He also came in and did all the windows on the inside. And the house looks amazing. After work, I opened up the doors to the deck and just sat and looked out at the lovely scene.

After work, we had some tea. I roasted vegetables at lunch time so we ate those in Buddha bowls. With chicken for Mike. He loved it.

Watched some YouTube. Mike packed for his race weekend. And off to bed. I had a far better sleep and woke up much better than Tuesday. Rode in and timed my ride into the bike shed perfectly for Maureen. She arrived on her bike as I left the shed, so I ran back and opened the bike shed door. And she rode straight into the shed like a boss.

I unpacked my bag at work and went to the gym to meet Quentin. Squats.  60kg 1 set x 4 reps and then 50kg 3 sets x 4 reps.

Felt ok.

The day is gorgeous here today. No wind. Lovely. I hope you have a fantastic day.

The Monday with work in town

 Hi,

Monday working in town? What a shock. But we had a special mihi whakatau for the summer of tech interns. Such a great welcome and chance to connect with them. Mike and I were on greeting duty.

Mike and Barb walking

At lunch I took my Lululemon pants back to get the tag taken off. They had left the security tag on when I got them last week. I did not realise until she asked me for my receipt that it would look so dodgy to take back some pants with a tag and ask for it to get removed. But she did it for me. I must have looked dopey enough.

Strawberries have flowers

After work we walked home with Barb. Mike is tapering so a walk was perfect. They talked and talked and I huffed and puffed. I found it super hard work. We went a cool way. Ended up on a high contour traverse above Tom's house.

Ate my porridge when I got home. Mike had his tea. And off to bed. I had such a restless night. Donked my head on the bedside table at one stage. When I woke there was a bunch of bedding right up to my pillow. So weird.

PT session in the garage gym. Hard work. Deads 80kg 2 x 4 sets. And bench. 35kg. 8 reps x 3 sets. And called it early.

Maybe my working day will be much better.

Have a wonderful day.

Angela

The weekend in Wellington

 Hi,

What a busy weekend. Friday saw me go to townf or my dental hygienist appointment and then to Ngaio with Barb to meet Juliet for lunch. Sarah was there too!

Friday iced latte and lunch

Very good to catch up with them all. We will do this more often too.

Saturday saw Mike head away for Lower Hutt park run and I was lucky I checked my emails because I got into the waitlisted 9.45am class for Shut up and dance. Figured Jessie probably got into it too. But when I turned up, she wasn't there.

I did have fun dancing to Katy Perry for 50 mins. And I spotted Jessie arriving at the 10.45am class. Oh well. Next time I will co-ordinate far better.

Shut up and dance - on my own

Getting the Forester ready for a test drive

Mike got the Forester ready to sell. Popped it on Trade Me and Marketplace. And a young couple said they were super keen and drove down immediately from Palmerston North. Before we knew it, the Subaru was sold. Boom. Well done, Mike. And I hope they are very happy with their car.

We then worked to get all Christine's stuff in the loft above the garage. And we got it all done. Yay. Found some old stuff and kept some and flogged some on marketplace.

Toby's old blanket

Installing a toilet roll holder

Went to Bunnings and got a toilet roll holder and got that installed. Yay! And then off to meet Sally and Andrew off the ferry at Bin44 for tea. Their Corolla died in Nelson - clutch finally gave up the ghost.

Dropped them home and then home to bed for us.

Up for porridge then work for me and gym for Mike. Mihi whakatau at work for the interns this morning. Busy.

Enjoy your week ahead.

Love,

Angela

The Wednesday with work

 Hi,

I got home last night and got my dough out and baked a loaf. Yay. Came out well.

Sourdough

Off to bed for a good sleep. Up at 5.30am. It was a bit tough. And I was running late by the time I got my pedal bike out of the garage.

Rode to work. Forgot my pin to get in. Got cross. Walked to the gym.

Iced latte at French Kiss cart on Wed morning

Gym session

Had a session with Quentin. 50kg squats. 5 reps x 4 sets. Tough gig today. Then off to work data brekkie at Smith the Grocer for some intense work talk. It has been a week.

Spot the difference

Yesterday Toby had his last exam at uni. He did say it was a tricky one. But Tessa took him off to celebrate at Rollickin. So good on her. I hope he did ok. Hugs to him for the momentous event.

Friday sees me with a dental hygienist appointment early in the morning. I will walk in and back for that. Then meeting Juliet and Barb in Ngaio for lunch. Hopefully I can ride my bike in the afternoon. And I have Shut up and Dance on Saturday morning. After park run.

That is the plan so far.

Hope you have a lovely weekend.

Angela

The Tuesday with work

 Hi,

More cat pics because I worked from home. Hahah. The cats were so happy to see me again. Both spent a lot of time in the office with me. Awww.

Got more washing done so we are now up-to-date from the trip away. Woot. Mike got home fairly early from work and his dental hygiene visit. I booked mine for Friday as it was due. And we've booked Toby in for his when he is up early December. So organised.

Had a good sleep. Up for a walk in. Grey day but calm and fairly warm.

Will see about walking home at the end of the day.

Hope your day is a good one.

Love,

Angela

The Monday with things back to normal

 Hi,

The cats were so happy I worked from home yesterday. And I am WFH again today just to make them super happy.

Smudge on the skull

Then Smudge claims my chest

I watched some YouTube before Mike got home after his run. Then we watched a bit together while he had some tea and then off to bed.

Slept well, although it did take a while to get to sleep. I even had to listen to Mike's boring podcasts to drift off. But waking up the next morning wasn't too difficult, we seem to be getting back on the NZ timezone well enough. Yay.

Day is sunny but quite windy here.

Have a fabulous day.

Love,

Angela
