The weekend with rugby and Spyro and no Mike

 Hi,

What a completely random, yet busy, weekend of fun and activity.  Up early for boot camp where the other punters are quite convinced Mike and I have divorced now.  I think the comment was:  How come Mike is always away?

I did say he loved me.

They argued.

Hahahah.

I am quietly confident, readers.  :-)

Oh - I see I have a random pic from Friday morning iced lattes here.  Yes - I went to Ugly Bagels with Roanne and Callan and there is the evidence.  With Callan photo bombing me.  And when I got to work, Theresa had her own iced latte.  Boom!

Huge day at work and a well deserved drink at Bin44 afterwards.  Phew.  Then home with Ange and the weekend started.

Okay - where was I?  Yes.  Boot camp done and dusted.  Straight to the gym with Quentin for a PT session.  Okay - 90 mins of exercise is a bit hard.  Threw some clean clothes on and went to collect Angie.  Misunderstood the Newtown fair days (I think it was Sunday - but I avoided the area and went to collect Angie via the bays) and took a while to get to Angie.

We got to Haitaitai park and did a crazy loop of the full car parks.  Then parked out on the street.  After having to go through the tunnel and around the Basin before getting back on the correct side of the road for parking.

Anyway.  11am saw us finally on the sideline at the halfway mark.  Met Elly and she told us all about the games we'd missed with the Black Ferns in them.  A huge weekend of sevens action.  Portia and her family were right beside us - so we enjoyed that side of the day too.

Maureen turned up not long after us and we watched the rest of the action with some mens sevens games before a long lunch break.

Elly wandered around to find someone to blow up her footy and eventually we went into the clubroom and found a chap behind the bar that could direct us to a compressor machine.  He had no clue how it worked but Elly read the instructions and soon had a well inflated ball.

We went up to the velodrome and kicked the footy around.  Maureen and Angie were really good sports to indulge us like that.  I had a great time.  I can totally kick a footy for ages.  Maureen was amazing and could easily out-kick me and Elly with incredible leg speed on her kicks.  It's all in the follow through.  :-)

This wee pup was called Skye and she was so cute!

Over to a cafe at Haitaitai for an iced latte (and the others got hot drinks) and a good yarn before heading back to watch the playoffs.

Home via the supermarket and then off to see Sally and Andrew for tea and a movie.  We watched Thunder Force - a slightly dumb movie about some women that get super powers and fight evil.  Then we watched David Attenborough's documentary on what has changed in his lifetime.  Sobering.

I am pinned!

Sunday saw me up to visit James and meet his lovely family - including their new pup, Spyro.  He's 6 months old now and just a gorgeous typical cocker spaniel.

Well - hello there Spyro

Back home briefly and then off to the airport to meet Iona and her colleague Bobbye.  What a good opportunity to chat to them both!

And once Iona jumped on her flight, Mike got off his and we went straight to whanau dinner.  Caught up with everyone - including Glenys.

Had an awesome meal.  Like usual.  And took Glenys home to her hotel in Gilmore St and then we headed home to collapse into bed.

And the week starts and we do it all again.

Have an awesome week ahead.

Love,
Angela
