Hi,
It was a full on weekend of social activity and my introvert brain is now at capacity so I am WFH today to try and refill some of the energy that dribbled out.
I did enjoy it all. Just - would have been far better spread out over more weekends. Hahahah. Friday saw me get my haircut. So I popped into Machete for a quick iced latte after that.

Then nipped out to the Botanist for a fast lunch. Poached eggs with vegan hollandaise sauce. Yeah - gonna say, give me the real deal any time. It was okay though - but I think they gave it a garish yellow with mustard.

Mike and Katie launch their spiel at Warren Miller |
Friday we picked up Mike at 4.30pm and whisked him to the Penthouse cinema in Brooklyn and had a nice dinner ahead of Mike MC-ing the new Warren Miller film - Daymaker. Jason and Chelsea joined us and I think they rather fancy the idea of being gun skiers (or maybe snowboarders) now. Well, the movie probably fired up everyone there, tbh.

OMG - stupid photos! Stunning morning though |
Then home for a good sleep. Up early with Mike off to park run and me, Jason and Chelsea off to the zoo to meet Ange (up from Chc), Danita and Jen. This was all about seeing the new snow leopards, recently sent here from Melbourne Zoo. We were there 15 mins before the doors opened. Ange was off up the hill like a shot and we were totally the first people there. Had the snow leopards to ourselves for a good 15 mins or so. And we got a marvellous view of them. So worth it.
But we did enjoy the zoo. Great weather. And headed home. Relaxed and then went out to collect Ange, D and Jen from D's house and off to Little Quarter for tea.

Dinner at Little Quarter |
Very nice food. And my mocktail was good too. I had the vege dumplings, the eggplant bao bun and the summer rolls. Finished that off with mousse dessert.
Off to bed and up early again to get ready for Eurovision. We ended up with 15 of us all up. Me, Mike, Jason and Chelsea. Obvs. But we also had: Ange, D, Adnan, Angie, Liam, Hannah, Lee, Hayden, Janine, Maarten and Natalie. Wow!
Lots of food. And we might be eating croissants a lot.

Sigh. Eurovision morning - just turn your head! |

Oh - tilt your head the OTHER way! |

Turn away if you do not want to see the results |
Got an early text from Toby for Moter's Day! Awwww. I am also missing my Mum. But she got the card Karen and I left for her.
Sweden won - in a close battle with Finland. In our lounge, Finland was the popular choice. I was an outlier with Lithuania as my choice. Which, to be fair, came middle of the table and reflects my general ability to pick the winners.
Mike had another Warren Miller session to MC Sunday evening. 5pm one this time. Went off without a hitch. Back home by 8pm.
Fell into bed. Slept like a log - although we did lose the duvet at one point. Goodness knows what we were doing with our bedcovers.
Up for the working week. Mike in town to work. Me from home to recover energy.
Have a great day!
Love,
Angela
