The Tuesday back at work

Hi,

Toby had a lot of fun with Emerson and Duncan on their urban scavenger hunt.  Yesterday they had to go to both their new schools and take a photo of themselves outside the school and send it to a parent.  Then have lunch.

Today was supposed to be a trip to the Mt Vic lookout, and Te Papa.  But Toby has picked up some bug that ties him to the toilet.  Not nice at all.  Mike is staying home with him and I will cancel his appointment that was later today.

It's a shame for him.  I hate it when he's sick.

Anyhow, before he got sick he said he had a great time and he was excited because the scavenger hunt earns you points for the tasks you complete.  He was negotiating what he might cash in the points for.

I went out to the first dragon boating training session on an actual boat yesterday.  Had the best evening for it.  Warm, still.  I could have jumped into the sea!  We seemed to do ok.  To my completely untrained eye.  Let's see, eh?  A few more practises and then two race days.  One on Feb 13th (that's a fun race day) and one on Mar 5th (the big race).

Time to have a tea and water and start the day!
