The Tuesday with trivia

Hi,

What a lovely entertaining evening.  I drove home with Andrew and collected Ma from home (after ordering pizza for Benjamin and Toby) and we were off to The Pickle Jar for dinner and their trivia quiz night.  We had a lot of fun.  Who would have guessed that the Art and Literature round would have been our best round (9/10).  Not us.  We chose Geography (we did alright) and Pot Luck (oh - there's our mistake).

My most embarrassing "get" of the night?  The only one to know the fourth book in the Twilight series.  Shucks.  But I also knew the name of the boy genius in Eoin Colfer's books (Artemis Fowl) and what movie sang a cover of a 1920s folk song (cue the awful singing of "I had a little drink about an hour ago and it's gone right to my head" - and it was Jaws).  Ilkse knew it was a UB40 song when none of us had a clue.  And Ma was brilliant with TV and Cinema and knowing who the husbands of Joan Collins were.  Christine and John knew the chocolate bar was a Perky Nana (a what - it looked radioactive - surely no one eats them!).  We had a lot of fun.  We came 5th overall out of about 15 teams.  Not too shabby.

Drove Andrew home.  And shortly thereafter Mike got home from Sydney (almost bang on midnight).  Yay! Happy!
