Hi,
A cracker of a day here in Wellington. The ride down the hill was lovely. I did notice at one stage my light facing me, so I stopped and tried to fix it. Then Sarah walked past me saying "Hello Angela". I had stopped just in front of her. And what's more - I had just said hello to Hamish and Ryan at the top of the hill. All three of them came around for afternoon tea yesterday so it was funny to see all three of them again so soon!
Friday night went well, with the tennis pool party having a fantastic night for it. Toby swam in the pool heaps, puncuated with periods in the spa pool getting warm again. Mike's Dad turned up and we all went home quite late.
Saturday morning was the usual stressful rush to the pool. Mike had left already for his day walk from Porirua to Haywards so I was enjoying the sleep in with Toby a little too much. We hurtled To Lower Hutt with plenty of time. The last half of the lesson was in the big pool for the first time and Toby had a ball! If he can just add the breathing he'll be fine! One girl in his class is very good with her breathing. One wee boy was overwhelmed by the big pool and didn't like it at all. Toby swam in the 3m deep part for ages after his lesson ended. Karen is likely to be his new instructor next term. Toby had her for a term about 3 years ago!
After swimming we went around to Sally and Andrew's place for the big party. Huge. Andrew and Aidan were finishing the wallpapering - as you do on a party morning! Heheheh. Sally got in at lunch time after her French lessons and we all tucked into lunch. Janne had taken everything under control in Sally's absence and it was great! After a while of continous eating I went to collect Dad from work and he enjoyed a few hours there. Then I dropped him home and brought in my washing. Then back for a few more hours of party fun before heading home.
Sunday was another big lunch in town (Osteria del Toro or something like that). It was marvellous and I'd like to go back with Mike one evening.
Then dropped off Ron at the airport for his flight back to Dunedin and home to get ready for Sarah, Hamish and Ryan's visit. Then a frantic bit of activity before bed.
The week has begun! Off Thursday night to Otago for a week! It's going to be great!
Have a wonderful week!
Love,
Angela
