Poor Mike had to give up his ticket to watch Richard Dawkins talk last night at the Michael Fowler Centre. The time frames were too tight and he had to be at tramping club to promote his tramp this weekend. So Kara came in his place.
We all enjoyed it - especially my mother. She had lugged two of Richard Dawkins books around with her all day and when they announced he would sign books at the end, she leapt out of her seat and ran down the stairs. Are we sure she's sick? ;-)
Richard Dawkins talked about how evolution is pretty incredible but really the only option as an explanation for our existence. Natural selection is his weapon of choice.
After the talk and the book signing (Mum has two books signed and now Richard Dawkins knows she comes from Glasgow and has been out of Scotland for a long time), we went for tea. Mike popped in briefly and then went to collect Toby from the Sampsons.

That's it. Mike will pack for his tramp tonight so we can have Indian takeaways with the Lewises on Friday night. Cool!
