The weekend with no Toby

 Hi,

What a lovely weekend.  Toby was away in Chc with Tessa and her family so we had the place to ourselves.  A taste of next year, perhaps?  Gulp!

Lucky we like each other, eh?  Bwhahahahah!

My garden looks perfect for fairies

Moxley's fave things - a box and catnip!

Happy cat

After boot camp on Saturday (good sesh!) we did a few messages and then Mike popped into New World.  We had a relaxing afternoon before we went out to the Penthouse for dinner and to see Tenet.

Date night @ The Penthouse to see Tenet

Such a confusing movie.  I guess some people might like to imagine it is clever.  But I think it would alienate a lot of the audience as you spend a lot of time (hah!) being confused.

Late to bed - but it isn't a school night so all good.  Sunday was Father's Day and after sending a text to Dad (which he didn't get until 10pm at night!!) I got up and made brekkie for Mike.  Toby was still in Chc so the father pampering fell to me.

Mike deserves it.  He is an awesome dad.

Fathers Day brekkie of champions

Is this a happy father?

I discovered some of the women's rugby was live streaming on You Tube.  Choice!  So I watched the Whios get thrashed by Auckland Storm.  I do enjoy women's rugby.  They pass the ball a lot.  Good running rugby.

Taranaki Whio game is live streamed on YouTube!

An uneasy alliance to get access to the deck

Headed out to pick up Toby and Tessa from the airport and back home to have dinner - after dropping Tessa home.  Her Dad was stuck in Chc after no showing his flight down there and Air NZ cancelled his flight back as a part of the same there-and-back.  So when he turned up at the airport, he had no flight home.  Lucky he got onto one Monday morning.

Mike made burgers for tea - scrumptious.  And Toby gave him his Fathers Day present. Tent pegs.  Oosshh.

Up early for me to see Quentin in the gym for the first time in ages.  Did bench.  37.5 kg.  Varying degrees of form.  Mainly bad.  Hahahah.

The mask I wore on the bus gave me mask face dents.

Mask dents - does Batman have this issue?

It's a superhero issue I knew nothing about until covid.  Mask face dents.  It's a thing now.

Have a superb week.  Toby has mocks - which might not be so mock if covid means the big exams in November are disrupted.  So - good luck Toby!  Study hard.  Get those credits.  Oosshh!

Love,

Angela
