The Monday with work

Hi,

Work was so busy - and I did manage to get to Spin afterwards.  The buses were running less frequently by then, so by the time I caught a bus, Mike was finished at his dentist visit.  So he came home with me.

She loves wires

She's under the duvet

Cooked tea - Toby boycotted as he wanted pizza.  Sigh.  I thought the pasta pesto was good.

Relaxed before bed - which was actually not very long as it was quite late by the time we got home and cooked tea.  Bed.  Phew!  Moxley slept on our bed - inbetween us.  When I woke at 5.30am, I was isolated from Mike and freezing cold.  The summer duvet is just a tad too cool without Mike's heat.  Hahahah.

Have a great day.  Mike, Toby and I have movie night tonight.  Ant Man.

The weekend with me and Toby in Wellington

Hi,

What a lovely weekend - Mike got away early on Friday after work (although he did hit the traffic leaving Wellington) in Ana's car to head to Whakapapa.  Toby was at home, having been to the doctors.  Apparently he has an inflamed jaw from something like smacking his teeth together or something and has to eat softish foods for a bit.

Anyway, we had a relaxing evening, and went to bed fairly early.  Iona was up early to try and see the Senelelion moon (total eclipse with the rising sun in the opposite side of the sky) but the clouds defeated her.

Love hebes

The three of us (Toby, Jase and me) all went to Joe's Garage for brunch.  Well, actually, it was lunch.  But it was good to have an iced coffee from there again.

We all went grocery shopping before getting home and relaxing before I dropped Jase off at his work.

Chase!

Sunset Saturday

Joe's Garage iced coffee

Sunday was the day I exerted my super powers - specifically "finding things".  I found three of Mike's dress belts - he said he had none anymore.  Found a casual belt too.  Found my sunglasses.  Found Mike's snowboarding helmet.  Found $50 under the bed.  Oossh!  Finders fee.

Jase and I tried to fix the DRZ.  Turns out society has failed us.  We both like the idea of being mechanically minded - yet have never had a lot of exposure to it.  Hahahah.  We'll sort that out during the week.

Toby mowed Joan's lawn (on the corner - she's away) as it was finally not soaking wet.

And we did laundry.

So - all in all - a good day.  It felt like we achieved stuff.  And Mike found his Apple watch charger - along with his Skinny phone - at the lodge.  And his actual charger.  He had been complaining (and secretly blaming me) that it had disappeared.  Meanwhile people had found his phone at the lodge and told him there was a phone left behind.  He'd mentally berated someone so slack as to leave their phone behind and emailed the lodge punters to see if anyone claimed it.

No one did.  Because it was indeed his.

Mike got home pretty early from Ruapehu.  Around 6pm.  I cooked tea - chicken and vegetarian enchiladas.  Yum!

Jo dropped around for a cup of tea before her weekend finally wrapped up.  She'd also been away with Mike - but in her car with Momo, Doro and Janine.

So, pretty busy.  But I feel like I got stuff done.

Hope your week is fun. Andrew and I are off to Treble Cone Thursday and back Sunday.  Oosshh!

Love,
Angela

The Thursday with Roz

Hi,

I never have any evidence that I meet with Roz.  Sigh.  She is like that ninja friend of mine.  She does exist - honest!

I actually had lunch with Mike (and Celia and Victor) as he was up my way around lunch time.  What a bonus!  We ate dumplings.  Mmmmm.

Then after work, I met Roz and we negotiated the phantom buses to our house.  Mike also got home - but he had dinner plans with Maarten so we ordered our burgers while Roz played with the cats.  And then tucked in when we got back with them.

I dropped Roz at her hotel, collected my bike, changed my cleats over to the new ones, did laundry - and whatever else I managed to get done.

And the weekend beckons.  Mike is off to Whakapapa with a bunch of people - and I have Toby to entertain.  I see brunch with poached eggs in my near future.

Have a great weekend!

Love,
Angela

The Wednesday with texting and parent teacher interviews

Hi,

I did manage to catch up with Andrew after Spin and before work madness - and I think we have a plan for skiing down south to progress.  Woot!

I almost drank it all before we took a pic

Work was work.  Toby came to my work and we got him sushi before Mike collected us in an Uber.  That driver was so nice - we all played Spotto!

The parent teacher interviews were good.  Toby needs to put a little more effort into some of his classes.  But they all said he was smart.  And he is.  It was good to see how he interacts with his teachers.  He has an opinion and handled the teacher's questions very well - if it was me at that age I would have just blushed and stammered if teachers asked me why I didn't do X and Y.

Toby has great life skills already.

Anyway, we decided to head back home.  My day was a texting day with Jo.  Towards the end of the evening, as I lay in bed, I think my texts became more and more incoherent.  I could have fallen asleep with the phone in my hand.  I had the best sleep in ages.  And the relatively social wake up time of 5.30am this morning.

Oosshh!

Hahahah.

Have a great day.

Love,
Angela

The Tuesday with not a lot

Hi,

You know the day has been quiet if all you see here is a pic of my dinner and the obligatory iced latte photo.  Hahahah.

My yummy dinner

Iced latte time!  With Mike V - not my Mike

I got waylaid at work after wanting to get away at least closer to the real closing time.  Didn't work and I ended up meeting Mike on Lambton Quay and finding some silly bus or other.

Must ride my bike.  Must ride my bike.

Cooked up tea for Toby and Mike - of sorts.  And fell into bed.  Had a great sleep - although the 5.15am wake up was a bit rude.  I rode into work for the 6.30am Spin class.  Oosshh.  Some instructor called Flora.  And she was great fun!  I wonder if I can make a habit (hahahah - that's the name of my gym) of that session.

Anyway, parent-teacher interviews after work today.  Hope that goes well.  Then Mike is taking me and Toby to tea.  Woot!

"New" pants

Let me tell you about my "new" pants.  So, I was in bed the other night and Mike was preparing for the next day and finding work clothes.  He pulls out a hanger from his side with trousers on it, looks at them and says:  These are yours.  Why are they on my side?

No, I say, they aren't mine. I don't recognise them.

Mike says:  They are size 12.  They are yours.

So I look closer.  OMG!!!  They are the pants I asked Mike to take to the dry cleaners 7 years ago!  For months I asked him about those pants.  Whether he had lost them at the dry cleaners and I searched everywhere for them.  Gave them up as lost.

And - now, it's like I have new pants.

Have an awesome day.

Love,
Angela

The Monday back at work

Hi,

Obviously with my lack of sleep, my work colleagues noticed enough because I got a hand delivered iced latte from Machete.  That was very nice - thank you.

Iced latte from Machete - at work!

Went home on the bus and met Andy (old manager from old work) and then Mike got on.  So we chatted away for our entire trip.  Good fun.

Cooked tea for everyone.  Toby's favourite.  Jo thought it was odd that the meal had a huge raw carrot in it.  But I like raw carrots, and we can't see the bother in cutting them up.  Guess it is kinda odd.  But the thing is - Jase has never batted an eyelid at this.  Turns out they do the same - and don't even peel them!

Hahahah.

Had a much better sleep.  And an early bus in to catch Spin class.  Ooosshh!  Can I get back into routine?

Have a wonderful day.

Love,
Angela

The weekend in Wellington

Hi,

What a weekend - only one in Wellington for all of us for a while, I think. Friday night saw me supposed to be out with work colleagues for dinner.  But a work issue meant I stayed back and ended up just going straight home.

Saturday, the boys got a haircut at Maggies.  They both looked very handsome after it.  Jase was taking notes because he wants to buy clippers and do his own hair.

Took Toby to The Warehouse to get some slippers and flat shoes for the gym before dropping Jase at work.  Mike and I then went to Roller Derby and met Celia, James and Momo there.

For Toby - except he wasn't here so I drank it

Roller derby!

What a great time I had.  The rules are confusing, but such a lot of fun.  Kilbirnie Rec Centre - and it was a great venue.  Mike and James enjoyed the Garage Project beers - they sponsor the roller derby.

Then Celia, James, Mike and I went to The Ramen Shop for noodles at half time of the second game.  Yum!

Home in a howling storm and it was good to get into bed.  Sunday was a lazy morning, and then I cooked brekkie for Mike, Jase, Toby and Jo.  Jo had decided pancakes, poached eggs and bacon was a good idea.  Yay for us!

We watched "Nanette" after brekkie - wow!   What an amazing story Hannah had to tell.  Mike, Jase, Jo and I were absorbed.  Jo had seen it before and recommended it.  And I do too!  Watch it!  Funny, and sad, and powerful.

Cooked tea for the boys - spag bol.  Always a hit with Toby.  Into bed fairly early. Up Monday for the first day back at school for this term.  With bus chaos.  Oh dear.  But we got on a bus just fine.

Hope your day is a good one.

Love,
Angela

The Thursday with lots of little things

Hi,

I am tempted to just let the pics explain my recent days.  Seems I only drink iced coffees.

Little Peckish iced latte with Mike

Iced latte with Ed @ Machete

The Lab iced latte - with Celia - and the huge straw

Celia's iced mocha and my iced latte - with a fire hydrant sized straw

Who ate all those lollies?  My manager - that's who!

My sister's birthday iced coffee milk

I rode home after work and enjoyed that.  Got a little snack ready for Toby before driving back to do the grocery shopping and collect Mike.  He left work late and went straight to start the shopping.  We're such a good team.

He went wild in the freezer section and bought lots of pork buns for Toby - and some bao buns for himself.  He happily got them out of the packet when we got home and nuked them.  Only to discover that the photo on the packet was entirely misleading.  It was just the buns!  He needed to cook the filling - which of course, we didn't have.

Toby and I were so sad for him.  He actually pouted.  Like a wee boy.

Anyway, we all ate something and I tidied a bit and went to bed.  And my ride in this morning was good - wispy rain.  Not often a thing in Wellington.  No wind and a light rain.  I actually think our hill was inside a cloud more than falling rain.

Weekend is almost here.  Got a team dinner tonight then a Wellington weekend.  Laundry.  I see lots of laundry in my near future.

Have a great weekend.

Love,
Angela

The Wednesday with not a lot on

Hi,

It took a bit of juggling through emails and texts but eventually Mike and I decided on a course of action to get home.  He walked to my work, picked up tea on the way, and we caught a bus home together.  The 14 still goes from outside my work to Wadestown.  So there you go.

We also chatted to Yingjie before we caught the bus.  I will try and get to her yoga class on Saturday morning.  Although I have a feeling if Spin is on, I would rather go to that.  Hahahah.  They also have a dumpling lesson at 4pm at Aroha.  How cool.  Maybe I will try that too.

Got home, had tea with Mike and Toby (Jase was at work).  Mike and Toby blobbed out on the couch watching You Tobe vids.  I tidied.  Did laundry.

And had a good sleep.  Woot!  Caught the 6.16am bus and was in time for Spin.  So there is a good thing to the new timetable.

Have a great day.

Love,
Angela

The Tuesday with burger night out

Hi,

I managed to get to a Spin class after work on Monday.  Some woman I had never seen before was the instructor.  Trudy.  Anyway, I thought she was great.  A lot of them are weird extroverts and she was no exception to that rule.  Normal Spin Tuesday morning.  And Nat for the Spin class after a busy day yesterday.

A little Peckish iced latte - with Mike on Wednesday morning

I showered quickly after the Spin session, and caught an Uber to meet Mike and his friends at Beach Babylon for burger night. Said goodbye to Sadie - she is off to live in the UK for her OE.

Venus and the Moon over Wellington

I live somewhere very cool

The water fountain is blue!

I enjoyed the evening along the beach - so still and perfect.  Venus and Jupiter were obvious - Mars and Saturn were hiding to the east somewhere still.

And - getting an iced latte yesterday with Andrew - straight from the gym!

Doro offered to drive us home, but Janine also offered and Mike was keen to get home quickly.  So Janine kindly dropped us home.

I was pleased to get into bed and had a good sleep.  Caught the bus in with Mike this morning.  We were too early for Machete (it opens at 7.30am) and instead had a coffee together at Little peckish.

Have a brilliant day!

Love,
Angela

The Monday back at work after skiing

Hi,

I guess I could write about how hard it was to concentrate all day after such a great weekend and a fantastic day skiing.  Dreaming about my next day up on the snow.  But, actually, I had a major incident to deal with and the day just disappeared.

Maybe today, if the major incident gets sorted, I can daydream a bit.  But I doubt it.

Anyway, I did get to Spin after work.  And Mike kindly picked me up when I was done.  Then he swapped the empty gas cylinders for full ones.  That means we can cook again.  :-p  And my mother wasn't even here when the gas cylinder on the hob ran out.  Hahahah.  it always used to happen when she was cooking for us.

I finished cooking tea while Mike did the rubbish duties.  And we all ate together.  Chatting away about dodgy ads on the Internet.

Toby is good.  Jase is good.  Cats are good.  Seems as though it's all good.  The boys (younger ones) have a haircut booked for Saturday 1.15pm.  Just in time for Toby to get back to school.  Woot!

Have a great day.

Love,
Angela

The weekend skiing at Turoa

Hi,

What a great weekend - so busy.  Mike left Friday to drive up to the mountain.  I caught an Uber from my work to his at 4pm, and he finished packing and collected his punters.  There was a crash on SH1 at Paekakariki so there was no rush.  In the end, he went to Ruapehu via SH2 and Masterton.  Wow!

Meanwhile, I caught up with Christine and not-so-wee Tom for burgers at our house.  It was so good to chat to her again - she is very well and hitting some pretty awesome goals.

She headed away and I went grocery shopping with Toby before heading to bed.  Up at 3.30am to shower and get ready for our day trip to Turoa.

Automat with Sally

Jo picked up Momo and then me.  She would have been at my place around 4.30am I guess.  From there, we collected Andrew and headed  over Haywards back to SH1.  An episode with some tea that spilled out of Jo's cup was unfortunate.

Mike and Jo

Anyway, Mike was up at Turoa ahead of us.  He drove there from Whakapapa.  And our trip up was slow - we did buy some stuff from the outdoor shop in Taihape and that delayed us a wee bit.

But I was skiing by 10am.  Andrew - not so much.  He had to queue to get a lift ticket and then his gear.  Mike got him a cheap ticket though - and then we found Mike and I enjoyed skiing with him.

Jo and Momo

Once we all got together, it was the last time we saw Andrew.  I think he skied High Noon the entire time.  The snow was good and the weather superb.  The team tried to get me to ski into a gully with sheet ice on my side and it took a while for me to go and try that as they shouted at me from the other side.  Helpful things like "You can do it".  And when the person in front of me fell and slid into the gully, shouts came "Not like that!".  Advice to sidle to my left was ignored as it was sheet ice that way too.  After the fallen comrades cleared from the bottom of the gully, I actually went down.  And although I lacked the grace of my companions, I didn't fall.  Phew.  They had mostly given up waiting by then though.  Story of my day - playing catch up.

But - I was using my new skis for the first time.  And possibly I needed to tighten my boots a bit more.  But the skis were awesome!  They just want to go fast.  I loved them.

And the mountain as we come onto the plateau

Ok - daylight now for the drive up

Dawn on the drive up Saturday

An offline guide to how to use Google.  What?  Can't you Google that?

I think I've died and gone to Lewis Road Creamery iced coffee heaven

City Gallery - kiwiana
Sally (from work) took me to see the City gallery exhibition on Friday at lunchtime.  An excellent use of my lunch break.

With Celia at Machete

With Reimer at Verve
The skiing was so good.  I followed Mike, Momo and Jo most of the day.  We didn't stop for lunch and I think we got pretty good value for our ten hour driving effort for the day.  Enjoyed Nga Wai Heke a lot - the black run wasn't too icy and my skis are so good at gripping.

Mike actually said I was skiing better than I normally do.  Said he recalls watching me ski a gully and being aggressive enough to make it all work.  Hopefully my first day rustiness goes away for the rest of the season.  And I tighten those boots a tad more.

Andrew had sussed out there was an option to stay with Mike at Whakapapa - Mike had a spare seat back in his car and space at Grads.  A blanket and Mike's sleeping bag inner ensured Andrew was good to go.

I lost everyone on the last run and headed back down to base on my own.  Found everyone there and I caught a lift down the hill with Mike in our car and met everyone else at the Powder Keg.  They had my shoes, so I had to wear Mike's huge shoes to the pub from our car.  That was funny.  Fortunately they had the foresight to bring my sneakers to the pub from the car.  After a few drinks we headed home.  Andrew with Mike to Whakapapa and a roast pork meal at Grads.  And me in the back seat and Momo driving.

I drove from Levin (or was it Foxton - wherever that cheap petrol station is that Jo knows about) and enjoyed Jo's slightly old, but very capable Mazda station wagon.  Back home by 9.30pm and had the best sleep in ages.

Up at 7.30am and got ready to meet Sally for brunch at Automat.  Enjoyed their food and Sally came over to meet Moxley (and cuddle with Smudge).

Dropped Jase at work at 3pm and took Toby over to see Aunty Sally and enjoy a Zany Zeus thickshake.  Checked out Sally's new sideboard (very nice) and the filing she had done while Andrew was gallivanting around Ruapehu.

Back home and cooked tea (butter chicken) and timed it perfectly for Mike's arrival back.  Yum!  I cooked mine with paneer from Zany Zeus.  It was so good.

And now I am at work.  The bus timetables and routes all changed yesterday so this morning was the first time in the new regime.  Our driver was happy until he took a wrong turn and we ended up in Kelburn.  He  negotiated some tight roads and got us back on track - just made us a wee bit late.  We applauded when he got us back to the right road.

Spin after work.  And lots more this week to make up for 2 weeks of not very much.  Hope you have a good week ahead.  Toby is off for another week with school hols.

Love,
Angela

The Thursday with Wellington work and potluck dinner

Hi,

Yep - it was back into the Wellington routine.  Although with school holidays in full swing, the routine is not the norm.  Wee Moxley is as cute as a button still - and enjoying free rein in Jase's bedroom.  I think Jase is quite taken with her.  Moxley may be spoilt.  Hahahah.

Smudge is getting attention from everyone outside of the bathroom/bedroom Moxley domain.  At the moment things seem to be ok, but they are yet to actually meet and interact.

Got home late in the car, grabbed the tiramisu that Mike made and came back to Garage Project to collect him and head to Jo's house for potluck dinner.  Oohhh - I might be still full!  Her flatmate (one of them) is a chef by trade - and he threw together a few things.  Combined with the food the others brought it was a feast.

And Mike's tiramisu was soooooo good.  He made one without Amaretto.  Yum!

The weekend is almost here.  I am meeting Christine for dinner (burgers) at our place.  And finishing my packing before going to bed super early.  I need to get up at 3.30am to go skiing at Turoa for the day tomorrow.  Mike is off to Whakapapa for the entire weekend - but he intends to drive around to Turoa and ski with us tomorrow.  Choice!

Saturday night when we get back I hope to see Liz - she is in town and with me being away and then busy, we haven't caught up at all.  I can't believe it.  I hope I don't miss out.

Sunday - I get to catch up on all the housework.  Oh goody.

Have a great weekend.

Love,
Angela

The Wednesday coming back to Wellington

Hi,

I am back in Wellington - yay!  Although it was lovely to be in Auckland and see the office there and catch up with Wally and Roz and Nicolette and Janet.  Janet is 29 weeks pregnant - wow!  I had no idea.

Anyway, I got my delayed flight back to Wellington.  And someone from the Wellington office (Michelle) was sitting exactly across from me on the aisle.  How funny.  She'd been up for the day visiting a client.

The towel shaming saga continues in my absence

I got back home fairly late (around 9.30pm) and discovered the towel demon had been visiting in my absence.  I said hello to the boys - and then smooched with the cats.  They are still segregated although they have now seen each other briefly (Smudge hissed - which I am sure astounded everyone as usually she is mute).

Then Mike had to make dessert for a potluck dinner we have Thursday night.  Tiramisu.  One of his favourites.  That was fun - and then off to bed.  Had a far too short a sleep before heading in for a spin class.  Some new instructor - Becks.  Let's hope she sticks around - it's been hard finding a steady instructor for Thursday mornings.

Come on England!  What are you doing?  5 mins to go in extra time and you need a goal!

Sigh.

Have a fantastic day.

Love,
Angela

The Tuesday in Auckland

Hi,

After Roz sorted out her navigation woes (she ended up over the harbour bridge on the north shore when she took the next left after my hotel), we met and walked to Johny Barrs (or something) near the marina.  They have rather nice food.  We'd eaten there for lunch with work (best Buddha bowl!) so I knew it was good.

And ok - their lava chocolate pudding was amazing!

Auckland by night

Their puka trees grow way bigger

Back to Wellington after work today.  Hope the traffic is ok.  7pm flight.

Have a brilliant day.

Angela

The weekend in Wellington and the Monday in Auckland

Hi,

Well, the big news from the weekend was us going to the SPCA and finding Moxley.  She is now in the downstairs bathroom and very playful.  We're hoping like mad that Smudge is ok with her coming into the family.

Moxley

Moxley eating

Moxley playing

Smudge knows she is behind that door.  I hope our cats are both chilled out about each other.  Toby is on school holidays and can look after the two cats for a good period of time.

Meanwhile, I had to go to Auckland for work Monday.  And I'm not back until Wednesday.  But it gives me a chance to feel like a tourist.  And drink iced coffees with Arthur.  And meet Heolle - new guy in the team.

Meanwhile, iced coffee @ Mojos in Auckland

After work, I caught up with Wally.  We ate at iVillage and another customer seemed to have an epileptic fit (but no convulsions, just basically unconscious mostly).  His dinner date was frantic and sure he was dying and called an ambulance.  But the chap came around, said he was daydreaming (huh?) and they left.  Caused a commotion.  Wally was checking for signs of diabetic issues, as he is well versed in what that looks like and what to do.

Wally @ iVillage

The view from my window

She wrapped it well!

Such a tourist

Anyway, I have some clothes and a DVD for Jase to take back home.  And my room at Quest on Beaumont was very pleasant.  Went to New World and bought croissants and cheese for my brekkie.  Turns out Angela wrapped my cheese.  She did pretty well too.

Hope your day is a good one.

Angela

The Thursday with gym and a movie

Hi,

After a busy day, it was my job to collect the car from its WoF and service.  Turns out those tyres we suspected of getting close to worn out, were worn out.  Picking up the car cost me $1100.  Ouch!

I then negotiated through peak traffic to Evans Bay and did a Spin class at 1815 there.  It was only my second one for the week - and my breathing mostly coped with it.

I showered at the gym and then drove to collect Jo from her place.  We bought our Oceans 8 movie tickets and then I ate some sushi.  I didn't like the sushi much.

Jo grabbed some popcorn and we watched the movie.  I was a bit disappointed.  It seemed to miss the mark for me.

Dropped Jo home, and got back to find Mike barely awake.  It was 2300 by this stage though.  But I was asleep in seconds and slept right through to a rude awakening at 5.10am.  I had my alarm set for my super early Friday morning last Friday!  Doh!  Turned that off and fell back to sleep for a bit longer.

Caught the bus in with Mike as he went to the gym.  Good on him!

Weekend is beckoning.  Which it would arrive a bit faster.  We're visiting the SPCA tomorrow.  Uh oh.  Then Mike is at the gym again.  And he is off to see Swamp Thing in the evening.  I rather fancy a movie night with Toby - I'll see if I can convince him.

Sunday we have a movie planned -  or not.  Mike was unsure - and yet Jo said he had planned it.  So, goodness knows.  That was to see Antman.

Right.  Could be a movie weekend of epic proportions.  Oooshhh.

Have a fantastic weekend.

Love,
Angela

The Wednesday with stuff

Hi,

Ok - the post title is entirely misleading.  Pretty sure my day yesterday didn't have a lot of stuff happening at all.  In a workshop all day at work.  And then a haircut after work!  Woot!

Yep - I am a new woman.

Well, no.  Not really.  Hahahah.  But when Mike finally saw me this morning, all dressed and ready for work, he said:  You look nice.  Upon which I said: I got a haircut last night.  And gave him THAT look.  You know, the one that says you can't tell I got a haircut.

We drove into work together because he had gym and I needed to take the car in for its WoF.  And he spent a lot of time trying to snuggle with me.  I think he was still trying to dig himself out of the "I didn't comment on my wife's haircut" hole he got himself into.

Anyway...  I dropped the car off and walked back to work along Cuba St, enjoying the vibe (even in the early morning).  The cold air played havoc with my cough.  Doh!  I'n sure I'll be fine at Spin tonight.

Currently, the devious plan is for me to collect the car at 5pm, drive to the gym at Evans Bay for the 1815 Spin class.  See how my cough goes with that.  Shower.  Drive back to town.  Meet Jo B and see Oceans 8 @ 2030.  My evening sounds action-packed!  Ooosshhh.  I just hope my chest can  handle the Spin exercise.  So long as the air isn't cold, I am sure it'll be fine.

Righty o then.  The day starts!  Have a good one.

Love,
Angela

The Tuesday with me going home sick

Hi,

I finally took a photo of the shadows the leaves of the neighbour's tree cast on the footpath under the street lights.  I reckon it is:   Youngs Slit Experiment

The leaves and the street lights show physics at work!

In some parts, you see leaves clearly (where they are not so close together) and in others, they are all diffracted.

If anyone has any other suggestion as to why I see this happening, please let me know.

I went home sick yesterday at lunch time.  Probably the best thing I did.  I was at my desk and finding it hard to breathe.  Very weird feeling.  But doing nothing seems to be for the best.  I think going to Spin yesterday morning triggered the breathlessness.  Mike has made me swear off gym for two whole days.  Thursday 5.30pm is my next gym session.

It's haircut day today!  Woot!

Toby was out last night at some movie thing at the Roxy.  The Room.  And one of the actors was actually there.  Mike went to collect him and I was so dead to the world I never even woke up when they got back.

Jase tried out his new sneakers at work last night - and they seemed to work better than his old sneakers.  I chatted to him briefly when he was heating up his risotto after he got home late yesterday.

Right.  I am in workshops all day today and tomorrow.

Love,
Angela
